Surgery
We are very fortunate to have 3 doctors with a vast amount of experience with many types of surgery. Of course we offer the routine surgeries as most clinics ( spays, neuters, tumor removals etc). In additions we are capable of performing a large number of orthopedic surgeries such as fracture repair, ACL repairs, patella luxation repair, amputation and many more. Dr. Scott Baumgardner has been performing the ACL repair, Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy , for 9 years and has tremendous amount of knowledge to provide our clients. In additions we also offer extensive soft tissue surgeries such as splenectomies, PDA repairs, skin grafts, invasive tumor resection, eye surgeries and many more.
Preventive Medicine
Prevention is worth a pound of cure. At our clinic, we strongly emphasize the value of preventing diseases and health problems. Annual exams allow the doctors to evaluate the condition of your pet and determine the need for lab tests, diet changes, procedures etc. Furthermore they are able to make a vaccine plan that is best for your pet (vaccines are often dependent on where a pet lives and its lifestyle). Finally, we like to provide education to our clients so that they fully understand our recommendations and concerns.
Dentistry

Katie scaling and polishing the teeth
Dentistry is a very important part of veterinary medicine. To make sure your family pet lives a long and health life, it is pertinent to keep their mouth as healthy as possible. Over a period of time the buildup of plaque and tartar serves as a source of bacteria/infection that not only weakens the teeth but can weaken the health of the entire pet.
There are several steps you can take to help with oral care. At home we always recommend daily brushing of teeth as well as the use of dental diets that will help slow down the build up of plaque. Finally, having dental exams annually so that your animals mouth can be assessed and it can be determined whether your pet needs a dental cleaning.
At the clinic we perform dental cleanings daily. Your pet will have their teeth scaled, polished and fully assessed for any further care that may be required. While under anesthesia we can fully assess the need for extractions sealants and gingival treatments. Because of Dr. Scott Baumgardner's dental training we now have the capibilty of treating chipped teeth, periodontal disease and

Radiology
In the last year we were fortunate to update some of our technology. We now have both digital dental and digital general radiology equipment. This gives us the capability to more accurately assess images of your precious pet. We also have an ultrasound unit that is well utilized by Dr. Jen Baumgardner. With over 150 hours of continuing education in ultrasound technology, she is able to compliment our exams. With ultrasound we can do everything from confirming pregnancy to identifying tumors to finding free fluid in the abdomen. It is painless, non-invasive and very informative.
Geriatric Care
As your pet matures in age, his/her needs will change. Often their diet will need to be changed dependent on physical health( liver diet, kidney diet, weight loss diet, etc). Sometimes they will need thyroid supplements, arthritis medication, or even heart medication. We strive to maximize your pets life and keep them happy and as pain free as possible.
